Lamar Jackson Blunt About His Amazing Body Makeover : “I Was Fat!”

Star quarterback Lamar Jackson arrived back at the team facilities last year after the Baltimore Ravens‘ AFC championship game loss, having lost a significant amount of weight. The question of the quarterback’s weight loss was a constant topic of conversation during his first interview following his dismissal. This trip reportedly started in 2022, but it hasn’t become more apparent until recently. However, the quarterback had valid motives for his actions.

Jackson later said that he had lost 25 pounds since 2022, 10 of which had come off during the offseason. Jackson said, “I was fat, to me,” in response to a question on Monday regarding his struggle to shed the excess weight that may have shielded him from hard knocks. Jackson was speaking to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports.

The current MVP came to this decision after seeing a video from a game versus the Browns in 2022. He claimed to be out of shape at the time and to have been a little slower, though he wasn’t positive about the latter.

“I felt like I was fat. I just saw a video from two years ago, of the Browns, and I looked out of shape… My eyes might be deceiving me, but I believe I looked a little slower, to me… But, not now.”

Jackson answered that he just wants to get rid of weariness when Jones questioned whether the quarterback had lost all that weight to increase his agility.

“Just so I could move around without getting fatigued, that’s all,”“I don’t know if I was getting fatigued last year. Probably if I get a first down. But I don’t like getting caught if I do decide to run. So yeah, it’s part of it.”

Jackson quickly shot down the reporter’s cheeky comment that “you know, we get a little slower as we age,” claiming that at just 27 he doesn’t feel old at all.
