Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams Get Trolled By Cam Newton for Wearing the Same Outfit

Cam Newton is proud of the way he looks, dresses, and conducts himself. People have questioned and even made fun of the former quarterback’s dress choices ever since he played pro football, but he has nothing to prove to anyone. And he just made this position clear while seated across from Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, his co-host on Nightcap.

When the podcast was being recorded live in front of an audience, Newton surprised everyone by telling Ocho that he was getting a lot of money, which might be altering him. Then, when Sharpe questioned the former QB about proper attire, the topic turned to him, and he ended up criticizing Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby.

Newton started off by:

“Listen, man, it’s in you; it ain’t on you when you got that expectation for yourself.”

Then, he disclosed that he always arranges his clothes the night before, making it clear that he never dresses to fit in. His sense of style and appearance are entirely personal to him. When it comes to making an effort with his attire, Newton disclosed that he is fashionably conscious and never wears the same thing twice. Furthermore, he found it offensive that some others made no effort in the same field. At that moment, he recalled:

“watching the ‘Receivers’ documentary, (where) Davante Adams and Mad Maxx Crosby wore the same outfit, twice.”

Additionally, a spectator yelled “twice,” emphasizing the point for Newton. The former first-round selection by the Carolina Panthers later added:

“I’m like, ‘Just because you got money, and your outfit is expensive, that don’t mean you got style. It just don’t.’ You gotta able to put it on.”

Nevertheless, Newton noted at the outset of their discussion that Sharpe served as his inspiration for all of his post-retirement endeavors.
