In the latest season, the Clippers will relocate into the $2 billion Intuit Dome, their new home. After 25 years of sharing the legendary Crypto.com Arena with the Lakers, they are finally moving out, which Jeanie Buss thinks will be good for her club.
She expressed her satisfaction that there will only be one NBA team residing in the Crypto.com Arena during an interview with the Petros and Money program. Buss also emphasized a benefit of the Clippers moving on from their previous location, stating:
“I mean, we moved in that building first, then the Clippers moved in and now they’ve moved out. So, nothing’s really changed for us at all…I just didn’t realize how long it was gonna take the rest of the league to realize that we have more home games.”

The 62-year-old emphasized that the Clippers’ presence prevented the Lakers from making any long-term changes to the legendary arena.
But now that they’re gone, they can fully transform the Crypto.com Arena into a stadium with a Lakers motif. She was thrilled that the team was using that privilege for the first time, stating:
“If anyone hasn’t had a chance to come out and visit the statue that we just unveiled of Kobe and Gianna, it’s really something special.”
The second of three sculptures dedicated to Kobe Bryant was unveiled by the Lakers recently. The most recent is a sculpture that shows the late icon sitting on a bench with his daughter Gianna beside him, surrounded by the wings of an angel.
Buss thinks that when all the girl daddies go to the location with their daughters, it will be a unique occasion. The Clippers are thrilled with their new home, but the Lakers are relishing having their house all to themselves.
