It appears from recently leaked bodycam evidence from her DUI hit-and-run arrest back in May 2023 that DaniLeigh believed her celebrity would help her get out of trouble.
The shocking footage shows DaniLeigh attempting to convince Miami police that she cannot be arrested because she is an artist, namely an R&B singer. This is after the authorities claim she hit a teenager riding a moped with her car, breaking his spine and causing a kidney laceration.
She informs an officer that she is with Quavo, who is seen early in the video with a few of his bodyguards off to the side.
DaniLeigh’s troubles caught on Bodycam
They inquire as to what’s going on, and the cop instructs them to back up. She also seems to be slurring her speech and giggling while assuring the police she is completely sober and that she passed every sobriety test they gave her, which, spoiler alert, doesn’t seem to be the case.
She reportedly blew almost twice the legal limit—0.145 and 0.148—on the Breathalyzer, according to the officers. Furthermore, she keeps saying she hadn’t hit anyone in the video.
Police footage, however, captures a bird’s-eye view of Dani striking the victim and sending sparks flying as the metal of his scooter drags across the ground.
Multiple witnesses observed her hit the teenager on a motorized scooter and drag him for approximately a block, according to the police report.
