Dana White, Head of the UFC, Is Going Into Boxing

When Callum Walsh and Przemysaw Runowski were promoting their bout in Ireland, Dana White hinted that there might be major boxing news soon. According to Insider Rick Glaser, White and Turki Alalshikh will work together to develop a boxing version of White’s well-liked Contender Series, which will provide a novel approach to the sport. White said :

“There will be some big announcements soon,”. “I never say anything I don’t do, ever. We’ve been kicking the whole boxing thing around for a long time but you’ve never heard me commit and say, ‘I’m in.’ I’m in.”

It has been speculated for years that White would enter the boxing world, and now that Turki is backing him, it appears like White’s next endeavor is finally taking shape. Glaser reported : “Breaking, #DanaWhite is going to dip his toe into #Boxing again, this time with @Turki_alalshikh, & they are going to do a Contender type series of what could be 5 round fights. Welcoming back @DanaWhite!!!”

In 2017, White made his boxing debut by co-promoting the bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor. He stated at the time that he was very interested in getting into boxing. But in the years that followed, White reduced his participation, and by 2022, he declared he was done with the sport.
