Warren Moon Discusses Football’s Risks On Tua Tagovailoa

Warren Moon, an NFL Hall of Famer, has thought about concussions, particularly in light of Tua Tagovailoa‘s recent issues with brain injuries. In contrast to many former players, Moon disclosed that he had up to six concussions during his career; yet, he has not noticed any appreciable long-term effects from such injuries.

Moon, who is currently 67 years old, played for multiple teams from 1984 to 2000 throughout his NFL career. He was diagnosed with six concussions over that period.

He revealed that despite these wounds, his health has stayed constant and that he consistently passes physical examinations. He acknowledged that he frequently questions whether or not he would suffer the repercussions. He told TMZ : “If you ask certain people, I’m out of my mind,”. “But, for me, I feel like I feel pretty good. I’ve had a lot of neurology tests over the last so many years as part of the NFL’s evaluation process and I’ve passed all of those. “I don’t feel like I’ve lost any memory or anything like that.”

Warren Moon’s suggestions for Tagovailoa

Moving on to the present, Moon talked about Tagovailoa’s circumstances and acknowledged the difficult choice the 26-year-old is currently facing. Following his third concussion in a short amount of time, Tagovailoa’s NFL future is now in doubt.

Moon expressed his relief that Tagovailoa will have time to reflect carefully on whether to continue his career, as doing so could have long-term effects on his health. Tagovailoa will be placed on injured reserve. Moon continued:

“So far, I feel really good,”. “I’m taking good care of myself. I’m hoping the same thing for Tua as he moves on with his life.”
