According to Ekaterina, Dmitry is only paying a measly $1,100 in child support, which is a drop in the bucket compared to his income. Ex-wife Ekaterina Bivol, seems to have made it her goal to bring the Russian undefeated boxer to justice through social media. The 33-year-old is slated to lock horns with IBF, WBO, and WBC light-heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev on October 12th.
The fight will determine who will become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion since Roy Jones Jr. in 1999. However, weeks away from the historic skirmish at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Bivol’s ex-wife has accused him of being stingy with the child support checks for their two sons, Miron and Nikon Bivol.
This comes on the heels of a series of posts alleging domestic abuse, abandonment, and a refusal to pay adequate child support made by Kate Bivol for the past few weeks. The duo initially separated back in August 2023—after sixteen years of marriage. In October last year, Ekaterina accused Bivol and his mother of allegedly physically and psychologically abusing her while providing photographic evidence of the bruises sustained during the abuse. However, the authenticity of these pictures hasn’t been proven as of the time of writing.
Bivol himself has yet to comment on his separation or the allegations levied against him by his ex-wife. Since then, Ekaterina has been very vocal on her social media accounts, where she, from time to time, accuses Bivol of being a horrible husband and a worse father to his two sons. Today seems to have been one of those days.
Turning to her Instagram stories, Bivol’s ex-wife demanded that the Tokmak, Kyrgyzstan native be canceled for not paying enough money in child support while accusing Bivol of having secret overseas bank accounts to hide his wealth. “Cancel Bivol for paying only [$]1100 per month for both kids! He is hiding his foreign bank accounts,” Ekaterina wrote.
As with any scandal, there are always two sides to the story. We’ll have to wait and see how Dmitry responds to these accusations. Will he deny them and defend himself, or will he admit fault and try to make amends? No matter what happens, this drama is heating up.
