At 6’4, Dwyane Wade was slightly taller than the typical point guard in the past. But when it came to shooting guards, he seemed a little undersized. However, The Flash was superior to both positions, or at least that was how the other players in the league perceived it at the time.
On his official Instagram account, the legendary Miami Heat player shared a post. The original upload of the message was made by a D-Wade fan website, in which Lamar Odom, a former teammate, discussed The Flash’s unjust dominance over half the league.
“He is too big for the point and too quick and strong for the two. He’s going to f**k them up. And he in the Hall of Fame.”
A year or so ago, Odom made an appearance on the Knuckleheads podcast. During his interview, the former NBA champion discussed his career and specifically mentioned the time he got to play with a top-tier D-Wade. The Heat icon reshared the post on his IG Stories with the caption : “Too big for the PGs and too quick and strong for the 2s! When your peers talk(Salute Emoji).”
Wade was 6’4 and up against shooting guards taller than 6’6. Nevertheless, the three-time NBA champion was able to establish himself and rule every night.
In his prime, D-Wade faced guards like Tracy McGrady and Kobe Bryant, to mention a couple. Even though the guards were bigger than he was, The Flash was still quite cool.
