On the Club 520 podcast, Jeff Teague and his co-hosts reminisced about the NBA’s response to the news that Kevin Durant would be joining the Golden State Warriors, while talking about Adrian Wojnarowski and his “Woj bombs.”
One of the biggest updates Woj provided, according to Teague and the other players, was KD joining the Dubs. Teague continued by stating that he realized his season was done when Durant joined Stephen Curry and company.
“I was done. I was like, ‘My season is f**king over, we ain’t bout to win sh*t. KD going to the Warriors.”
The biggest statement prior to The Slim Reaper’s decision to become a member of the Warriors dynasty was also recalled by Teague. The former NBA champion discussed LeBron James’ “Decision” to move to South Beach with his skills.
“I remember that more than I remember KD. I knew something was gonna happen, taking all these meetings and sh*t. You not about to just go back to OKC…And I thought the same thing with LeBron. I thought he was going to New York.”
The 520 crew even explored the fallout from their choices. At first, fans were very critical of James and Durant. Even though the majority of fans finally moved over it, some may still have animosity toward it.
