Deion Sanders has called and treated Travis Hunter like his own son ever since he began mentoring him. But after years of this categorization, Hunter made the decision to put Coach Prime on the spot in order to see whether their relationship was genuine.
Earlier this week, LeBron and Bronny James made NBA history by becoming the first father-son tandem to play together for the same team in the league’s history. Coach Prime took to “X” to praise them after being deeply moved by the news.
Deion praised LeBron’s longevity in his message, saying it helped him reach this unprecedented feat. Then, to everyone’s surprise, he said: “I’m COMING Back to play with my sons too!”
Media websites quickly took notice of this and began reposting the tweet on “X” along with a picture of Deion and his two biological sons, Shilo and Shedeur Sanders. After seeing one of these pictures, Travis Hunter DM’d Deion and asked: “Ok now, why I’m not in this picture?”.

Given that Coach Prime has consistently called Travis his kid in public, the Buffs star’s query served as a litmus test for Coach Prime’s assertions. Unsurprisingly, Deion responded to the two-way star with a picture with the following caption: “I can fix that.”
And he fixed it. Coach Prime quickly unleashed his artistic side by photoshopping the cornerback into the same graphic as himself and his two sons.
