On the night of his DUI arrest last month, former NFL player Eddie Lacy is lucky that no one was wounded, including himself, because police say he was driving with a blood alcohol content that was FOUR times the legal limit.
According to the Scottsdale Police Department, it all began on September 30th, when a lady called 911 and informed dispatch that someone who fit Lacy’s description of an Audi SUV was driving so strangely that she was afraid they were “going to kill somebody.”
Shortly after receiving the call, police stopped Lacy in his Q8, according to an SPD police report. However, Lacy was able to claim that he had just arrived by plane from Green Bay and was en route to his girlfriend’s house, which he insisted was only a few yards away.

However, upon being questioned further during the stop, Lacy admitted to one of the responding officers that he had consumed “a single shot” of tequila during his flight into Arizona.
When police finally managed to remove Lacy from his vehicle, they did get him to blow into a breathalyzer, which they said produced a result.325. Lacy said that he was aware of Arizona’s legal limit when asked, adding, “I already had a DUI bad” in the past. But at that point, Lacy was unable to say for sure.08 was the correct number.
The 34-year-old was subsequently placed in handcuffs by the police and informed that he had been arrested for DUI. According to court documents, he has since been charged with multiple crimes, including one count of extreme DUI with a blood alcohol content of.20 or above. Later next month, he will appear before a court for a hearing on the case.
