Over Christmas, Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, and his girlfriend, Hailee Steinfeld, almost cursed their union. When the Buffalo Bills host the Tennessee Titans in Week 7, they hope to keep winning. On Monday night football, the Bills, led by quarterback Josh Allen, overcame the New York Jets 23–20 to maintain their lead in the AFC East after suffering two straight defeats.
Allen’s girlfriend, Hailee Steinfeld, attends almost every Bills game in secret, but she would rather avoid the jumbotron. The Oscar-nominated actress teased the newest edition of her newsletter, “Beau Society,” before of the Titans-Bills game at Highmark Stadium, by posting a short video of herself in the kitchen.
On October 18, Steinfeld published “Soups and Sweets,” issue No. 11 of her newsletter, in which she related a personal tale about Allen. The 28-year-old quarterback and the “Pitch Perfect” star unintentionally purchased the same item for one another during their Christmas gift exchange.
Hailee Steinfeld speaks about “Bad Omen” with Josh Allen
Although the fact that Allen and Steinfeld each bought a Miyabi Kaizen chef’s knife is sweet, Allen felt superstitious about the transaction. He disclosed that if they didn’t take immediate action, their relationship might be doomed.
Steinfeld clarified: “I got this knife for Josh last year for Christmas because cooking is something we love to do together. For Christmas he got me…the same one in a different colorway!” “After we exchanged our knives lol, he told me there’s an old wive’s tale that if you gift your significant other a knife you have to pay for it, otherwise it signifies the severing of a relationship. So we exchanged quarters so we didn’t have that bad omen.
“Anyway, oh my God, I love this knife! I don’t know much about a chef’s knife but it is just so nice and makes me feel official.”
For $429.99, you can acquire the same high-end knife that Allen and Steinfeld adore.
