Dallas Mavericks guards Kyrie Irving (2) and Luka Doncic (77) spa hands following a second quarter play against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, February 13, 2023.

Nick Angstadt, a Mavs reporter, posted a video on X that caught everything. Irving didn’t observe anything else since he was too focused detailing the action in the team huddle.

Jason Kidd’s encouragement for Kyrie Irving

After witnessing how effortlessly Kyrie assumed the position of coach, a few players were seen grinning. From the bench, Kidd enthusiastically urged Irving: “Okay! Okay, let’s go. Let’s see it. Let’s see it, coach,”

Irving has spent 13 seasons in the league. He has the expertise to guide the Mavs players as a result. In many ways, Kai is comparable to Kidd as well. Both are classic point guards with championship experience and a great basketball IQ. Additionally, Kyrie has previously expressed interest in becoming a coach. Throughout his career, Irving has demonstrated his ability to draw plays on numerous occasions.

Regarding Irving’s progress in the forthcoming season, J-Kidd has sent a strong warning to the NBA.
