Another football player that is in the news for reasons unrelated to their on-field exploits. Unfortunately, several athletes have recently been arrested and imprisoned, making this a frequent occurrence.
Last Saturday morning, Jabrill Peppers was taken into custody on suspicion of strangling and using a lethal weapon to attack someone. Cocaine was later found at his home by the police.

When police received a call of a fight between two people at a house, Peppers was taken into custody. Details were released to the public early Monday morning by the Braintree Police Department. Medical personnel provided on-site care to the victim.
He is set to be arraigned on today in Quincy District Court, but no other details have yet been disclosed.

Police received a call about a disturbance at a home in the early hours of Saturday. Jabrill Peppers was arrested and will be charged today with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation, and possession of cocaine.

The Patriots’ starting safety and team captain is now facing accusations of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, strangulation, and possession of a Class B substance, presumed to be cocaine. The Patriots broke their quiet on the topic, stating that : “We are aware of an incident involving Jabrill Peppers over the weekend, which is currently under police investigation. We will not comment further at this time.”
Patriots Head Coach Jerod Mayo commented: “He called me that morning. I knew what was happening. We’ve informed the NFL about the situation, and we’re still gathering information… I don’t think anyone has all the facts yet. It’s a process.”
Peppers has been out since September 29 due to a shoulder injury sustained in Week 4 against the 49ers.
