Patrick Mahomes’ Dad, Patrick Mahomes Sr, Heads Back To Jail To Serve His Sentence For Latest DWI Conviction

Patrick Mahomes’ dad, Patrick Mahomes Sr. is back in jail again. He got convicted for another DWI. Can you believe it? I mean, you would think after getting in trouble before, he would have learned his lesson. But no, he’s in there serving his sentence now.

It’s disappointing to see someone with such a famous son making such poor choices. Hopefully, this time around, he’ll realize the impact of his actions and finally straighten up.

He was booked on Tuesday just before 5pm and is not expected to be released until October 31.

Mahomes Sr, 54, was arrested by the Tyler Police Department on February 3, eight days before his son won the Super Bowl for the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas.

Footage obtained by TMZ showed how he ranted to cops that his arrest for driving while intoxicated would cost his son. He also got angry towards police after they put him in handcuffs.

An officer had seen his white Genesis traveling too slowly as he went west in the 1100 block of W. Gentry.

Cops ran his registration – which had expired in September 2022 and he had an open can of beer in the car alongside him when police pulled him over.

‘Are y’all serious?’ Mahomes Sr. can be heard saying: ‘I’m supposed to be going to the Super Bowl to watch my son play football, and this is what we’re doing?

‘Can I say one thing? My son is getting ready to play in the f***ing Super Bowl, OK? Just listen to me. I am not drunk. I promise you. I’ve had some drinks. But he can’t have this right now. Listen, this can’t happen.

‘Dude. This is crazy. My son is getting ready to play in the f***ing Super Bowl and I’m doing interviews — five or six a day. And then, now, this s***’s going to be on the news which is going to f*** with him, and it’s probably going to f*** him up.’

‘And he probably won’t win the Super Bowl. But that’s fine. If that’s what y’all want to do, that’s good.’

Until that point, Mahomes Sr had been cooperative with the police.

He was later taken to the Smith County Jail and held on a $10,000 bond. He did make it to the Super Bowl the weekend after the incident and saw his son win his third ring, as the Chiefs beat the 49ers 25-22 in overtime.

Mahomes Sr. later received a five-year probation sentence and the brief jail sentence he is serving now.

It’s unfortunate, but the Mahomes Sr. has to learn his lesson. Drinking and driving is no joke, man. It’s dangerous for him and others on the road. And come on, he’s got a famous son who’s a football superstar. You’d think he’d want to set a good example for him.
