Rashee Rice’s Mom Marsha Kearney Charged with Stealing Chappell Roan Records From Neighbor

The mother of Rashee Rice is charged with stealing a parcel from a front porch belonging to a neighbor. The neighbor’s identity remained undisclosed as of Wednesday, October 2. They stated that the incident was recorded by a Ring camera that was mounted on their Texas apartment’s front entrance.

The video, which TMZ released on Wednesday, purportedly showed a lady strolling past a front door while sporting a No. 4 jersey—Rice’s Chiefs number—and then turning to look behind her in an attempt to carefully place the supposed item out of the Ring camera’s line of sight. She was seen moving in the opposite direction and getting closer to the door in a subsequent video.

Without establishing eye contact with the camera, she slowed down while walking by. Just before she turned and turned to face the camera again, there was a sound of sliding. The woman then knelt to pick up something from the ground. Her jersey read “Momma-Rice” on the back. The woman seemed to be clutching a cardboard box when she raised her hand.

According to reports, the neighbor thought the package that Marsha Kearney, the mother of the 24-year-old Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, was seen picking up included two Chappell Roan albums they had ordered. Until Wednesday night, neither Rice nor his mother had responded to the accusations in the media.

The media site claims that the video was taken on Sunday, September 29. At SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on that same day, Rice sustained an injury while playing for his side against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Following that, Kansas City defeated the Chargers 17-10, securing the Chiefs’ fourth straight victory of the 2024 regular season. By the end of this season, the reigning Super Bowl champions hope to make NFL history by being the first team to win three straight Super Bowls.
