LeBron is already dealing with enough pressure and scrutiny as it is. The last thing he needs is someone pestering him about his son and teammate. It’s obvious that LeBron fiercely protects his family and wants to keep certain things private, and this reporter crossed the line.
The elder James has always been a vocal supporter of his son. He once again stood by him during a media session on Monday. When asked about Bronny’s experience with the Los Angeles Lakers so far, LeBron didn’t hesitate to remind everyone that his son is now a “grown man” and “professional.”
“You got to ask him. He’s a grown man; ask him how he’s handling it, and we’ll go from there. He’s a grown man; he’s a professional; he can handle it,” James said.
Bronny’s performance in recent preseason games has drawn attention. The Lakers rookie has averaged just 0.7 points, one rebound, and 0.3 assists per game over three contests.
Bravo to LeBron James for putting this reporter in his place. Maybe now they’ll think twice before bombarding him with unnecessary questions about his son. Next time, direct the questions to Bronny!
