The Jets finally snapped their five-game losing streak with a victory over the Texans, and Garrett Wilson made the season’s most impressive OBJ-like catch. Since the receiver had stepped out of bounds before landing both feet in the end zone, the officials initially declared the play to be an incompletion.
But everyone in the stadium, including Aaron Rodgers, was positive it was a touchdown. Rodgers was so certain that his receiver had scored that he had his hand up before Jeff Ulbrich contested the decision.
According to Rodgers, Garrett Wilson’s catch was “ridiculous” in an interview with Prime reporter Charissa Thompson. The Jets wide receiver is confident in his skills and abilities, as seen by Rodgers’ disclosure that Wilson urged him to simply throw the ball his way, anyplace, and he’ll make the play.
Aaron blasted the ball towards the end zone after converting 3rd & 19 in the fourth quarter. The four-time MVP was convinced his rookie receiver had scored the touchdown after Wilson made an amazing catch. Convinced that Wilson had gotten his knee down before being hauled out of the end zone, Rodgers lifted his arm confidently as he watched the replays on the big screen.
However, replay officials were able to overturn the judgment to a touchdown because Rodgers was unaware that Wilson’s shin had made contact with the ground.
” That was ridiculous. Garrett’s been telling me, just throw it up, just throw it up. I saw the knee down and it looked like his knee was down. I didn’t realize the shin was down.”
“I’m just gonna throw it up to G and see if he makes a play.”

Against the Texans, Rodgers had a terrible first half effort. He attempted ten or more throws in the first half but was only 7 of 14 for 32 yards, the fewest he has had in the first two quarters. “I was just way off and about as bad as he could play in the first half,” he said.
He did, however, improve in the second half, completing 15 of his 18 throws for 179 yards and three touchdowns. Wilson, who caught nine passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the second half, was one of the players the quarterback began to trust. Even Davante Adams had seven receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown at the end of the game.
