Nicki Minaj’s Ex-Manager Sues Her for Assault and Battery

TMZ reported that Nicki Minaj’s alleged former manager is suing her for assault, violence, and purposeful emotional distress.

A lawsuit acquired by the outlet on Friday claims that the “Starships” hitmaker physically beat and scolded a guy named Brandon Garrett backstage at a Little Caesars Arena show in Detroit in April 2024 after she found out he had asked someone else to pick up her prescription drugs.

Minaj yelled at Garrett, he said, saying: “Are you f–king crazy having him pick up my prescription? You have lost your f–king mind and if my husband were here, he would knock out your f–king teeth.” “You’re a dead man walking,” . “You just f–ked up your whole life and you will never be anyone, I’ll make sure of it.”

Nicki Minaj’s legal troubles continue

In the lawsuit that TMZ was able to receive, Minaj said that his “life was over” and then struck him “on the right side of his face with an open hand.”

She slapped him so hard, Garrett said, that his hat flew to the ground. In addition, the singer’s purported ex-employee stated that when her crew moved in on him, she struck him on the wrist, removing documents from his grasp.

He further claimed that Minaj, 42, yelled at him to “get the f–k out” before he left the room. He then claimed that out of fear for his safety, he spent hours hiding in a restroom stall.

Garrett said he was forced to fend for himself in Detroit when Minaj‘s personnel refused to let him board the tour bus. Whether he was able to get his possessions is unknown.
