Rapper Too Short’s Brother Wayne Shaw Fatally Shot During A Botched Robbery In Oakland

Tragic news has echoed through the rap community as Wayne Shaw, 61, the older brother of legendary rapper Too Short, was fatally shot during a botched robbery in Oakland. The incident unfolded in the heart of Oakland, specifically at a targeted marijuana grow house located in the 1200 block of 49th Avenue.

As the details surrounding the incident continue to unfold, the Shaw family is in great pain. Wayne Shaw’s untimely demise not only leaves a void in the hearts of his family and loved ones but also in the music scene, where his connection to Too Short brought a unique bond.

Police said a group of people tried to use a vehicle to ram their way into a building, which is on a street with a mix of homes and warehouses.

Shaw apparently came outside of the building and was then confronted by the group and shot.

Police found Shaw with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Oakland’s Highland Hospital, where he died a few hours later, the Mercury News added.

No arrests have been made.
