Jay-Z is disclosing how he discovered that the person who accused Jane Doe of rape had lied about his involvement and how, in any case, lawyer Tony Buzbee had encouraged her to file a lawsuit.
In an affidavit submitted on Wednesday, Charlotte Henderson, a private investigator, stated that she met with the Jane Doe at her Alabama home on February 21, 2025, and that Buzbee “pushed me” to include Jay in the case.
The documents state that Doe told Buzbee that she planned to sue Sean “Diddy” Combs for raping her in 2000, but “Buzbee brought Jay-Z into it.” She also said: “He was the one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him, with Jay-Z.”

Henderson claims that although Doe explicitly said that Jay was not involved in the alleged rape, she did inform Buzbee that he was present at the party.
Buzbee nevertheless filed a legal lawsuit, claiming that she had been sexually attacked by Diddy and Jay. She dropped her case last month after numerous media sources revealed several errors in the woman’s account.
When Henderson met with Doe a week after her dismissal, she claims Doe informed her that Buzbee had visited her “shortly before” filing it, and that she dropped it because Jay-Z was threatening to kill her.
Henderson claims Jane Doe made four declarations. She was never abused by Jay, and she responded, “But how does this help me?” when asked to sign an affidavit.
