The Golden State Warriors’ six-game road journey has begun without their star player, Stephen Curry. During Thursday’s home victory over the Toronto Raptors, he took a hard fall and sustained a pelvic injury. After that, Curry had an MRI, which revealed the contusion but no structural damage.
Curry was initially expected to miss some time, most likely the beginning of Golden State’s road trip, according to ESPN NBA expert Shams Charania. Stephen Curry did not play in the Warriors’ first away game, which they lost to the Hawks in Atlanta, but he might make a comeback shortly. Curry is flying to Miami to join the Warriors before their upcoming matchup with the Heat, according to Charania.
When will Stephen Curry be back?
His availability is contingent upon how well he responds to pregame treatment.
Stephen Curry is traveling to join the Warriors in Miami, and his status for Tuesday’s game against the Heat depends on treatment response for his pelvic bruise over next two days, sources tell ESPN. Golden State is on game two of a six-game trip. https://t.co/SA3Tsrz51A

Curry’s comeback seems certain, regardless of whether he is prepared for Tuesday’s game in Miami. Jimmy Butler is back in Miami for the game after Golden State acquired him around the trade deadline after a nasty feud with the Heat.
The Warriors have been playing well since the Butler trade, including winning seven straight games until losing to the Denver Nuggets on March 17. With a record of 41-30, they are attempting to avoid the play-in round by securing one of the top six seeds in the Western Conference.
Given that the Warriors’ next game on the road trip isn’t until Friday, Curry will have a couple extra days to recover if he can’t play on Tuesday.
