Do you all remember the Louisiana teacher named Shelley Dufresne who was accused of having a threesome with a 16-year-old student with her friend? Well, after 11 years, she’s here with a new look, and the photos are going viral on the internet.
Has she learnt her lessons? In the photos, Shelley looks different, and I can say she looks transformed and is now a better person to fit into society.
She and fellow former teacher Rachel Respess, were initially arrested in a separate case in Jefferson County over allegations they had both engaged in group sex with the teen.
However, Respess was ultimately only charged with failing to report Dufresne’s relationship with the boy and had the charge dismissed.
Dufresne faced trial for two alleged sex acts with the teen and was found not guilty of those crimes in 2017.
The judge in her case said while she believed they had occurred, the evidence presented was not enough to warrant conviction.
Now more than ten years after the scandal first broke, Dufresne has shared an image of herself.
The mom-of-three posted a photograph on Wednesday showing her beaming at the camera.
Aside from the new picture, Dufresne’s profile is virtually hidden from the public except for photographs of her children.
When the allegations emerged, Dufresne was married however since then she and ex-husband Wesley has split and he has found new love elsewhere.
Dufresne’s profile indicates she is in a relationship and her left hand was noticeably free of a wedding or engagement ring in her new photo.
She sported an all-black outfit complete with thigh high suede boots and perfectly styled hair to complete the chic ensemble.
The look is a far cry from the mugshot which was broadcast around the world shortly after her arrest.
Dufresne was 34 when she was accused of a sexual relationship with one of her students at Destrehan High School.
The two had met while she was teaching his English class and went on to have a sordid affair including trysts in her car and a football practices, prosecutors alleged.
It’s interesting that at the end of the case, the jury did not find Shelley Dufresne guilty of the charges laid against her. It’s really hard trying to understand the justice system sometimes. Anyway, you should watch your teen kids and the people you trust them with. It’s a scary society we live in.
