Travis Hunter’ Father Allowed by Court to Attend the NFL Draft

Travis Hunter‘s father was given permission to travel to Green Bay for the 2025 NFL draft, where his Heisman Trophy-winning son is anticipated to be among the top picks on Thursday night.

Due to his arrest in 2023 on unspecified crimes carrying a 90-day jail sentence, Hunter Sr. was given an exception to the travel ban as part of a three-year probationary arrangement. Hunter Sr. was not there at the ceremony, despite being freed early, just days before his son was given the Heisman.

Travis Hunter

Hunter Sr. will be limited to his hotel and the draft grounds in and around Lambeau Field, according to USA Today.

Travis Hunter, who played both wide receiver and cornerback for Colorado, earned the Heisman Trophy in a historic dual position. The Cleveland Browns are predicted to choose him with the No. 2 pick, while the New York Giants are predicted to draft him third overall.

Hunter addressed his father directly during an emotional acceptance speech, ensuring that he was not left out of the celebrations in New York.
