Dwyane Wade Explains Why Anthony Edwards Is Face Of NBA

Thanks to their recent additions, as well as team ambassador Anthony Edwards, the Wolves have advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive year.

Edwards has emerged as one of the league’s top players. After leading the Wolves to a comparatively stress-free victory against the Lakers, LeBron James and Luka Dončić in the first round, he easily defeated the Golden State Warriors, who were without Steph Curry for the majority of the series.

After winning both series in five games, the Wolves will now face an even more difficult challenge when they play the Oklahoma City Thunder, the top seed in the Western Conference.

The Wolves must have faith in their chances because of Edwards’ ongoing development as a player, but OKC is favored because of their ridiculous 68-14 regular season record.

Dwyane Wade has expressed his admiration for Edwards’ performance both on and off the field.

On his podcast, the great shooting guard stated:  “[Edwards] talked about the moment this year when he threw the birds up, when he got techs for flipping [the refs off],”

“And he talked about, ‘You know what, I can’t do that. That was a young mistake that I made.’ But he took onus of the mistake as a young man, making a young mistake.”

The way Edwards acknowledged his own immaturity and worked to rectify it was a sign of growth to Wade.
