The cause of death has been identified for a 28-year-old woman who passed away just hours after undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift surgery. Ahmonique Miller passed away from acute combined drug toxicity following her receipt of unlicensed medication at an unlicensed recovery home, according to NBC Miami. Miller’s system had a combination of the illegal substance bromazolam and the prescribed painkiller oxycodone, according to the medical examiner’s findings.
According to NBC, “the fatal outcome is due to the use of these drugs in the hours following [Ahmonique’s] procedure.” In March, Ahmonique Miller first went to Miami with her sister Kiera Barnes for plastic surgery.

Procedures were performed on both women at the Avana plastic surgery facility. After the procedure, the women went to a place called Keyla’s Recovery House, which was allegedly advertised as such. Keyla Oliver, the proprietor, gave out medication there. The report claims that Oliver told detectives that she had given Ahmonique two pills of Percocet.
Oliver lacks a medical license, and Wakeelah Miller, Ahmonique’s mother, claims that “her actual prescription was never picked up from the pharmacy.”
