Lil Wayne has received a $15,000 payout after his newly purchased racehorse achieved victory in its inaugural race. The rapper invested in the thoroughbred as part of his entry into the world of horse racing.
Lil Wayne, whose full name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., named the horse Sixhoofsevenhoof, referencing his 2011 hit song “6 Foot 7 Foot.”
He co-owns Run Fast Racing, a celebrity horse racing ownership collective, according to reports from TMZ. Adam Kluger established the group, and Sixhoofsevenhoof participated in the opening day of the LAFC Meet in California.
This was only the horse’s second career race, with jockey Antonio Fresu in the saddle. To Lil Wayne’s delight, the stallion struck victory in race six of the day after a second attempt. Consequently, the rapper was able to pocket a nice $15,000 in winnings.
Additionally, Sixhoofsevenhoof was not the only horse from the group to achieve success at the meet. Punto Forty, named by Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro, also claimed a victory.
