Patrick Mahomes Explains Why He Has Never Faced a Better Pass Rusher Than Maxx Crosby

Maxx Crosby and Patrick Mahomes have a well-known and intense rivalry. Twice a year, they square up as outstanding stars in one of the NFL’s oldest division battles, and it’s always an entertaining spectacle. The two stars, however, also have a great deal of respect for one another despite the intensity on the field.

Since the two began playing together, Crosby has been considered to have a certain kind of ownership over Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. More than anybody else, he has fired the quarterback an NFL-high six times.

However, Mahomes has a 12-2 career record versus the Las Vegas Raiders, thus it has never resulted in more victories. In a recent interview with Kay Adams, Mahomes lavished praise on his bitter adversary, referring to Crosby as the best pass rusher he has ever encountered.

According to Mahomes on Up & Adams: “I think he’s sacked me the most out of anyone I’ve ever played against. To me, he’s the best pass rusher that I’ve ever played against. No offense to any other pass rusher,”

When a player recognizes and praises his opponent, it is unexpected. However, Mahomes has always been shrewd and reasonable. Perhaps he is aware that if he is kind now, Crosby might be a bit more forgiving on the field, which Tom Brady, to be honest, used to do.

Furthermore, Crosby might eventually wish to join Mahomes’ team.
