Sophie Cunningham is throwing major shades at anyone who dares to hate on Caitlin Clark. And let me tell you, she did not hold back! Sophie took to her new podcast, ‘Show Me Something’ to defend her girl Caitlin, calling out all the haters and setting the record straight.
Now, whether you agree with Sophie or not, you have to admit that she sure knows how to stand up for her friend.
Cunningham launched the new Show Me Something podcast with Bravo star West Wilson, and she came out guns blazing in the very first episode.
Cunningham is well known for being sassy and wasted no time stepping into a heavily debated topic in the WNBA.
“It literally like pisses me off when people are like, ‘She’s not the face of the league,’” Cunningham boldly stated about teammate Caitlin Clark.
“We have a lot of bad-asses in our league, like hell yeah to that, I’m all for that. But when people try to argue that she’s not the face of our league, or that our league would be where we’re at without her, you’re dumb as shit.”
Cunningham then added, “You’re literally dumb as f—.”
Sophie Cunningham has positioned herself as the biggest Caitlin Clark ally in the WNBA, and it’s paying off.
Without her friendship with Caitlin, she likely never started a podcast that is most certainly going to be a hit since Clark fans already love her.
“I know the talks Phoenix had in their locker room of, like, ‘We’re going to show her what the W really is,'” Cunningham said. “I get it to a certain extent. Every rookie coming into the league, that’s how you’re going to treat them. But there’s just more for her. It’s her second year. Now being on her team and seeing it, I’m like, ‘What are people doing?’ It’s just too much.”
