There is still no word on when Caitlin Clark will be able to play again. The star player for the Indiana Fever will remain on the bench after missing more than half of the season.
As she recovers from a groin ailment, Clark missed her ninth straight game on Tuesday. Although it is the third injury she has had this season, it is also the longest she has missed.
There is currently no word on Clark’s potential return date; she last performed on July 15. Stephanie White, the head coach, said the issue is still day-to-day.
White stated: “It’s day-to-day right now, we’re putting no timetable on it,”.
“[She is] going through the rehab process, and then we want to reintegrate her from a strength and conditioning standpoint and then get her back to basketball activities.
“So we’re taking it one day at a time, really slow rolling it, slow playing it this time…
“The most important thing for us is Caitlin’s long-term health and getting her back to 100% before we put her back on the floor.”
Since she was in perfect health during college and her first season, Clark isn’t used to missing time. In an interview at the WNBA All-Star Weekend, she talked about that difficulty.
