In an unexpected comeback to WWE on Sunday night at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar slammed John Cena with his F5 finisher to end the event.
As soon as the former WWE Champion’s music began to play, MetLife Stadium erupted. Lesnar set up a fight between the two on Cena’s retirement tour by staring down Cena as he headed to the ring.

Many were taken aback by his arrival… as the 48-year-old was mentioned in Janel Grant’s 2024 lawsuit against Vince McMahon. In July 2021, Grant said that McMahon asked her to provide “personalized sexual content” for Lesnar during contract negotiations.

Although it didn’t work out, she said McMahon took Brock to Connecticut that year for sex. Grant’s filing did not immediately name Lesnar, who is not a defendant in the case. The only person she mentioned was Vince’s “world-famous athlete and former UFC Heavyweight champion” target.
His identity was made public in an updated complaint in February 2024. Many were not delighted to see Lesnar return, even if many were pumped to watch “The Beast Incarnate”; one guy even said, “we don’t want him.”
WWE CCO Triple H revealed that Brock’s return was Cena’s wish for one more match with him, despite the conflicting reactions to his return.
