Donovan Mitchell and James Harden, Two Adidas Athletes, Are Trolled by Anthony Edwards for Having “Weak A** Shoes”

Anthony Edwards made fun of Donovan Mitchell and James Harden, two other ballers. The Adidas AE1, Edwards’ debut sneaker, was released in 2023 and immediately gained popularity. He will now dominate the AE2. In a recent interview, the Minnesota Timberwolves player was asked how it felt to watch his opponents wearing Adidas shoes against him. This is a proud moment for him.

Edwards has acknowledged that he just gets a kick out of seeing opponents play with the AEs on. He is less grateful if they appear in other Adidas athletes’ signature collections.

Prior to traveling to China, the former No. 1 selection remembers playing alongside Terrence Shannon Jr. of the Timberwolves. He was sporting additional Adidas footwear, much to Ant’s dismay. Edwards disclosed, “I told him, you got those weak a** shoes.”

Adidas has created signature lines for players like Harden and Mitchell, but Shannon Jr. does not currently have his own line of sneakers as he is only starting his sophomore year.

Edwards smiled smugly and added: “I think he had on some Hardens or Donovan Mitch, and I’m not saying their shoes are weak, but they ain’t mine,”

Edwards was merely kidding, of course. He wouldn’t go halfway around the world to make fun of other shoes manufactured by the firm that gives him millions of dollars annually.
