Following a tense postgame conversation between 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh and Jacksonville coach Liam Coen on Sunday, the simmering anger over Saleh’s earlier-in-the-week comment about the Jaguars “legally stealing signals” from opponents erupted onto the field.
Following Jacksonville’s 26-21 victory, Saleh and Coen, two of the best prospects for the Jaguars’ head coaching position in the summer, did not immediately meet at midfield. But as things got more heated, Coen turned back to Saleh.
While Jaguars center Robert Hainsey restrained Coen, Saleh, who spoke with Jaguars offensive tackle Walker Little, was restrained by a Niners staff member.

You hear Coen yelling: “Keep my name out of your mouth. Keep my name out of your f—ing mouth,” to which Saleh replies in part, “I will f— your world up.”
“Not a big deal,”. “Just keep that between us.”
After games, Saleh is usually unavailable to speak with reporters. When asked about the matter and whether he thought Saleh’s remarks regarding signal-stealing were the reason behind the argument with Coen, Niners coach Kyle Shanahan was questioned.
Shanahan claimed that when he stated twice on Friday that Saleh was praising the Jaguars, he was attempting to clarify the situation. Shanahan said he missed their Sunday postgame conversation.
