Ice Skater Alysa LIU ditching D4vd Song Routine Amid an Investigation

Alysa Liu, a world-champion figure skater, has said that she is canceling her recently debuted short program because it included a song by Celeste Rivas. This comes amid an investigation into Rivas’ death.

The Olympian from 2022 sent her supporters an update on Wednesday, stating that her plans for the 2025–2026 season will be canceled “in light of recent news.”

Video captures Liu performing the brief routine at the 2025 Lombardia Trophy in Italy earlier this month, which was set to the song “This Is How It Feels” by Laufey and D4vd. The routine helped her win the competition’s short program.

Liu went on to say that she and her group are “confidently pursuing a different direction that aligns with my values & just my overall ethos.”

She continued by saying that she will begin the process of planning the new product, but she will not rush her creative process.
