The start of the 2025 NFL season is almost upon us. The true fans of the game can already feel the excitement of Week 1. The start of the NFL season is like a holiday in the United States, and trust us when we say it, the world is more than paying attention to the American football league too. The flag and jet fighters flying in the sky, the anthem singing, and some of the best athletes in the world gearing up for a year of fighting for the top prize the NFL-The Vince Lombardi trophy.
Every team in the league is eyeing the appearance in the Super Bowl before the year starts whether it is realistic or not. Yet, we need to look at the teams quality, coaching, and which franchises are realistic to make an SB appearance. Here are our top picks just two weeks before the year starts:
Philadelphia Eagles
The reigning NFL champions are the hot favourites if we judge them by last year’s dominance, and how the offseason went for the birds. The coaching is there with Nick Sirianni, and he showed that he can make good picks when it comes to his coordinators. Vic Fangio is still in Philly, and the new name is tied to the OC position, and it’s Kevin Patullo. Patullo will do a good job, mark our words, as he has an amazing team to work with. While Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, and Saquon Barkley are all amazing, we all know that the Eagles’ strength lies in the trenches. Look at Jordan Mailata, Cam Jurgens, Lane Johnson, Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and Nolan Smith Jr., to make all the difference come game nights. The Eagles should be a team on which to spend your crypto casino bonus, and with bookies putting their odds at +750 look no further than Philly.
Baltimore Ravens
Ravens are a team quite similar to the Eagles, and we’re not talking about both franchises being bird teams. What we have in mind is top notch coaching starting with John Harbaugh, a duel threat QB Lamar Jackson who is having MVP like seasons year in and year out, powerful running game with Derrick Henry, Tyler Linderbaum, and Ronnie Stanley, and exquisite defence with the likes of Roquan Smith, Kyle Van Noy, and Marlon Humphrey sharing the responsibility. The Ravens are one of those teams that is always one step away from making it all the way to the Super Bowl. As long as they have Harbaugh and Jackson their SB window will remain open, and if lady luck shines upon them this season, they could find themselves in the big game. The bookies have their odds at +700, even putting them ahead of Philadelphia Eagles, but not in our books. At least not yet.
Kansas City Chiefs
Mahomes and the Chiefs are a form of nightmare for the rest of the league. They weren’t at their best last season and yet they made it all the way to the final, where they were demolished by the Philly D. Many fans and pundits believe that the Chiefs were found out, and that they will not be as dominant moving forward. We beg to differ. With Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes still running the show, the Chiefs were and will remain favourites for the big game. Add Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy, Creed Humphrey, and Isiah Pacheco to the mix, and the Chiefs are still good. Not like they were, but with ambitions as high as ever. With odds set at +800 the bookies recognize Reid/Mahomes danger too.
Buffalo Bills
The Bills are one of those teams that suffered the most from the insurgence of the Chiefs and Mahomes. The red team from Kansas City is an obstacle they are not able to jump over. All of that could change this year. With their odds set at +750, some bookmakers even see them as a bigger threat than the Chiefs are. Josh Allen managed to take home the league MVP award home last season, and all that’s left for him to cement his FL legacy is to win the big game. Sean McDermott is right up there with the best coaches in the league. He knows his roster, the game, and for him, making it all the way remains the only goal. Allen has proven that he is one of the best players in the league at QB position, and with James Cook, Dalton Kincaid, and Khalil Shakir he has plenty of weapons to work with. Bills have one of the more experienced Ds in the league and with the likes of Ed Oliver, Joey Bosa, Shaq Thompson, Tre’Davious White, AJ Epenesa, and Matt Milano they might just have one of the more balanced rosters in the league. Whether it will be enough to take the much coveted Super Bowl to Buffalo remains to be seen in coming weeks and months.
Teams such as Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, LA Rams, Denver Broncos, Texans, Bengals, and Commanders have outside chances of making it, and it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see them make it all the way. Yet, we will stick to the four horses we singled out for this year’s race.
