Love in the modern age — full of romance, red flags, and, occasionally, gunfire. Stephanie Arevalo has been arrested after shooting her husband in the leg after she caught him cheating.
And you know what? She thinks her husband deserved to be shot!
Arevalo was arrested by Bryan Police Department when she called the police herself after wounding her husband with a gun.
As for why she thought he deserved it, if you hadn’t guessed already it’s because she caught him cheating on her with another woman.
The unapologetic Arevalo even told police that she was aware she would end up in jail.
The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries, before being released from a hospital near to where the incident happened.
During the confrontation Arevalo also reportedly threatened to shoot the woman that she had caught her husband with, but did not carry out the threat.
This was reportedly at the 4500 block of Woodbend Drive located between Conquest Circle and Creekwood Drive in Bryan, Texas.
Arevalo was arrested after calling the police on herself, and booked at Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.
She has since been charged with Aggravated Assault/Family Violence with a Deadly Weapon, and released on bond two days after her arrest.
She is currently waiting for a court date, which has not yet been set.
Look, relationships and marriages are hard. But maybe — just maybe — the answer to cheating suspicions isn’t a bullet. Maybe it’s therapy. Or, maybe, walking out peacefully!
