21-year-old Treyvon Alexander from Kentucky has gotten himself into some hot water by being involved in a $7.4 million mail check theft scheme. The young man ended up getting slapped with a 6-year jail sentence for his role in the whole mess.
The United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio says Treyvon Alexander, 21, was sentenced to six years in prison. He was also ordered to pay more than $500,000 in restitution.
Investigators said law enforcement identified 1,480 stolen checks with a face value of approximately $7.4 million.
Federal officials said Alexander conspired with two other people in the scheme. Destiny Neblett, 23, pleaded guilty after investigators said she stole checks from a mail processing facility and turned the checks over to her boyfriend, who allegedly sold them to Alexander.
Alexander pleaded guilty in February 2025 to conspiring to commit bank fraud.
$7.4 million is no chump change, so it’s no wonder that the law came down hard on him. Moral of the story: crime doesn’t pay, folks. Stay on the straight and narrow or you might end up like Treyvon over here.
