Tyreek Hill, the Miami Dolphins’ standout wide receiver, sustained a horrific knee injury during Monday night’s 27–21 victory over the Jets. Following a 10-yard pass from Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Hill was taken down early in the third quarter when the star receiver’s left leg twisted uncomfortably beneath him.
Coach Mike McDaniel of the Dolphins informed reporters that the eight-time Pro Bowl selection had dislocated his knee and was being tested further after Hill’s leg was wrapped in an air cast and he was carried off the field.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hill dislocated his knee and tore many ligaments, including his ACL. Hill is still in the hospital and is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday.
Given the severity of the injury and the fact that it occurred roughly 25% of the way through the current season, Hill’s 2025 season is ended, and it’s probable that he won’t be prepared for the 2026 season to begin. There will probably be more specific information regarding a timeline after Hill’s operation, as this is all mainly conjecture.
Hill has a deal that pays him $29.9 million through the 2026 season, with $11 million of that amount being fully guaranteed in March of that year. A $5 million roster bonus is also owed to him. Hill mentioned his intention to retire as a Dolphin as recently as May 2024.
