The Cleveland Browns appear to enjoy making changes at the quarterback position. This offseason, the Browns brought in QB Kenny Pickett, signed QBs Joe Flacco and Tyler Huntley, and selected QBs Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders in the draft.
They subsequently released Huntley and traded Pickett before the season commenced, narrowing a five-man competition (with Deshaun Watson being the sixth QB on the roster) down to just three on the initial 53-man roster.
With Flacco now serving as the backup to Gabriel, the veteran is supporting the rookie, while Sanders is positioned as the emergency quarterback.
Now, it has been reported that the Browns are trading Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals:

According to various reports, Cleveland will receive a fifth-round pick in exchange for Flacco along with a sixth-round pick from the Detroit Lions. The Bengals have faced difficulties with Jake Browning at quarterback since Joe Burrow’s injury. Flacco gives the team an experienced player to compete with Browning and potentially reignite the team’s performance, similar to what he did when the Browns acquired him two seasons ago.
