When LeBron James hinted at a retirement announcement, supporters went into a frenzy, only to discover it was an advertisement. JJ Redick shocked reporters by saying, “You guys are idiots.”
During a media conference, Redick was questioned about James’ “Second Decision” launch, which was a significant Hennessy promotion. The Lakers head coach said it was clear while fans rushed to get tickets to see King James play one more time.
He questioned, “We all knew it was an ad, right?” Nevertheless, reporters questioned him about whether the scenario was making his phone explode, and he acknowledged: “I’m sure I got some texts.”

People weren’t only contacting Redick, though; according to Austin Reaves, he received a few calls inquiring, “What is this?”
Rui Hachimura claimed that he even went straight to the source of the video after receiving several dings on his phone with inquiries about it. LeBron most likely made a good living off the video in the end, and all it cost was messing with the emotions of the fans!
