Because it seems that Taylor Swift used her new album to make fun of Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, she’s handling the family business.
After the release of “The Life of a Showgirl” late last night, Swifites have gone through the album, looking for any hidden allusions. They are certain that the song “Opalite” makes fun of Nicole’s work during her relationship with Kelce.
Swift performs: ““You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.”
Basically, I’m sorry you felt so isolated, KillaTrav, but your ex was only interested in you because of your influence!
In 2017, Kelce and Nicole began dating, and for the next five years, they had an intermittent relationship. “Life handed me lemons and I made a lemon martini out of it and that upsets people,” Nicole said in May in response to admirers who urged her to end their relationship.
Swift appears to have targeted other celebrities with this album besides Nicole; fans believe she chose Charli XCX and her (former?) pal Blake Lively for the tracks “Actually Romantic” and “CANCELLED!” respectively.
