After the Vikings’ 28–22 loss to the Eagles, cornerback Isaiah Rodgers took the blame like a grown man. And how did the fans respond in hos DM?
Rodgers shared screenshots of the DMs he received postgame and it worse than the word racism itself.
Rodgers publicly shared a series of direct messages he received from one angry fan following the defeat. Among the messages was a shocking line: “You’re worse than Hitler.” Rodgers later posted the fan’s apology: “I’m sorry. I know what I did was wrong, and I should’ve never done that.”
In the hours after the Vikings’ loss, Rodgers took to social media to reveal the disturbing messages he received. The fan blamed Rodgers for the disappointing outcome and used extreme, hateful comparison.
“You’re worse than Hitler,” read one message in full. After Rodgers called this out, the person followed up with an apology: “I’m sorry. I know what I did was wrong…” the apology read. Rodgers’ decision to expose the messages laid bare the kind of harassment professional athletes can face especially when a team slips up.
The real loss here isn’t on the scoreboard — it’s in the DMs. And honestly? Rodgers doesn’t deserve these hateful comments.
Stay classy and civil, NFL fans!
