Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold faces four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery after prosecutors allege he masterminded a February 2026 plot in which two young women were ordered to lure victims to an apartment under the pretense of a romantic or sexual encounter. Court documents detail a violent ambush, beatings, and robbery that followed, with one of the women allegedly live-streaming the assault to Arnold and others as they traveled toward the scene.
The 23-year-old first-round pick turned himself in this week in Tampa and appeared in court Thursday from the Falkenburg Road Jail. He is being held as prosecutors seek to keep him detained pending trial. His next court date is Monday.
The Alleged Scheme and How It Unfolded
According to court documents and police reports, Arnold and several associates rented an Airbnb in Largo, Florida. While the group was out, the property was burglarized, resulting in the reported loss of cash (including roughly $100,000 attributed to Arnold), jewelry, designer items, and other property with total losses exceeding $250,000 in some estimates.
Arnold reportedly suspected his hired private driver, Yan Lopez, along with Daniel Tenesaca and Soljah Anderson, of involvement in the thefts. However, investigators have stated there is no evidence linking the three men to the burglary. Arnold contacted Largo police around 10 p.m. on Feb. 3 to report the missing items. Hours later, shortly after midnight on Feb. 4, the alleged kidnapping and robbery took place at an apartment in Tampa associated with two of his co-defendants.
Prosecutors allege Arnold coordinated with co-defendant Boakai Hilton Jr. to direct two women — identified as Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo — to lure Tenesaca to the apartment. Text messages show the women were instructed to use Tenesaca’s expressed romantic interest in Randazzo as bait, with the promise or implication of sexual relations or a romantic encounter to get him there. Lopez, the driver, and Anderson accompanied him.
Once inside, two other co-defendants — Lyndell Hudson II and Christion Williams — allegedly emerged from a closet or hiding spot armed with a rifle and handgun. They confronted, beat, pistol-whipped, and interrogated the victims for about an hour about the suspected stolen property. One victim reportedly had a gun placed in his mouth. The three men were held at gunpoint, threatened with death, and robbed of wallets, phones, jackets, cash, and jewelry valued at approximately $6,260 before escaping in their vehicle and contacting police with visible injuries.
One of the women allegedly live-streamed the beating, which was shared in real time with Arnold, Hilton, and Freddie Lee Hughes III as they were en route to the apartment. Group chat communications reportedly show Arnold and Hilton providing directions during the assault.
The Two Women and Their Cooperation with Prosecutors
Central to the allegations is the role of Del Valle and Randazzo, who were 18 and 19 years old at the time of the incident. Court documents describe them as co-conspirators who carried out the luring at Arnold’s and Hilton’s direction. One of them facilitated the live stream of the violence.
In a major development reported in the days leading up to and around Arnold’s arrest, Del Valle and Randazzo entered plea agreements with prosecutors. They have agreed to testify for the state in future proceedings related to the case. This cooperation provides key witness testimony from individuals directly involved in the alleged setup and the events inside the apartment.
Defense attorneys have noted that much of the case against Arnold relies on the testimony of these two co-defendants who reached plea deals. Their credibility, the terms of the agreements, and any incentives will likely be central issues if the case proceeds to trial.
Arnold’s Response and Legal Situation
Arnold has categorically denied the allegations. His representative, Denise White of EAG Sports Management, stated there is “no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations” and that he “looks forward to his day in court and is confident that the judicial process will lead to his ultimate vindication.”
His attorney has emphasized the reliance on cooperating witnesses who entered pleas. Arnold appeared stone-faced during his initial court appearance in jail attire. Prosecutors are pushing for him to remain detained until trial. He faces the possibility of life in prison if convicted on the kidnapping and armed robbery charges.
The Detroit Lions released a statement saying they are aware of the situation but will not comment further out of respect for the ongoing legal process.
