According to a source who spoke to ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green received a warning from the NBA for his Sunday night altercation with an outspoken fan in New Orleans, but he was not fined.
Green claimed he first chuckled when the fan called him “Angel Reese” after he had a first-quarter possession with multiple offensive rebounds and missed jumpers. However, during a timeout in the second quarter, Green approached the fan on the baseline after he shouted the chant multiple times.

Regarding the allusion to the former LSU player and WNBA star who set multiple LSU and SEC rebounding marks, Green commented after the game:
“It was a good joke at first, but you can’t keep calling me a woman,” “I got four kids, one on the way. You can’t keep calling me a woman.”
“He was talking at first,” . “Then you get a little closer and he didn’t really say much else. But it’s fine. We move on.”
When Draymond Green approached to speak with the fan, who identified himself as 35-year-old Sam Green of New Orleans, he got up. Before official Courtney Kirkland ultimately broke them up, they engaged in uninterrupted conversation for a few seconds. The fan received a warning but was not removed.
