Patrick Beverley Was Arrested for Punching His Sister and Choking Her After She Saw Her Boyfriend

The former NBA player Patrick Beverley is accused of choking his sister for up to 30 seconds at a Texas residence and punching her in the eye. Beverley’s sister informed authorities in the probable cause affidavit that on November 14, she left the house in the middle of the night without permission to visit her boyfriend, Aiden Hilderbrand, at a local park.

Lisa, her mother, was awake when she got home and instructed her to go to her room. Then Lisa instructed her daughter to call Hilderbrand and ask him to come get her. Hilderbrand was instructed to enter the house when he arrived, and Lisa summoned Beverley to visit.

After what appeared to be a reprimand, Beverley “grabbed her by her neck with both hands, and picked her up off the ground, by having her feet come up from the floor.” His sister states that for a duration of 20 to 30 seconds, his hold on her neck caused her to feel discomfort and as though she was losing oxygen and was unable to breathe.

According to the sister, Beverley grabbed her by the neck and dragged her out of the bedroom, slamming her body against the walls of an open room.

She asserts After placing her on the couch, Beverley punched her “approximately one time on her left eye with a closed fist.”

The sister continued Beverley remarked, “He will be the family relative to kill her.”

According to the documents, Beverley followed Hilderbrand after he was instructed to leave the house. The sister says her boyfriend contacted the police for help when Beverley got back. According to officials, the sibling had petechiae in the whites of her eyes and markings on her neck.

Beverley was arrested and charged with criminal assault at the Fort Bend County prison.
