Jauan Jennings and Tre’Von Moehrig are facing disciplinary actions after postgame altercation.
Tensions boiled over after Monday night’s 49ers-Panthers game when Jauan Jennings and Tre’Von Moehrig got into a heated, postgame scuffle. Now, both men may face discipline from the NFL.
The incident started on the field. Near the end of the game, Moehrig appeared to punch Jennings below the belt. This was caught on video and immediately sparked outrage.

Jennings didn’t react right away. But when it was time for postgame handshakes, he walked over to Moehrig and struck him in the helmet. That was needless!
Both will surely be fined. The question is whether, under the precedent set by the Week 5 one-game suspension of Lions safety Brian Branch for hitting Chiefs receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster after the game had ended, Jennings will be suspended.
The league has been very aggressive this year regarding sportsmanship issues. So it makes sense to monitor this one throughout the day on Tuesday.
The next few days will be telling. If the NFL hits them with fines or suspension, it could change how players approach late-game interactions. If not, many will wonder whether more serious consequences are truly on the table.
Right now, both men must answer not just to their teams, but to the league and its fans. How this all goes down could set a precedent, and no one is watching more closely than the people who believe the game deserves better.
