Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion traded the stage for the kitchen this holiday, serving as the lead chef for NBA star Klay Thompson and his family on Thanksgiving.
The artist, whose real name is Megan Pete, shared a video to Instagram on Thursday documenting her preparation of the holiday spread. Captioned “Thanksgiving with Thee Hot Girl Chef,” the footage showed Megan marinating a turkey, preparing various side dishes, and celebrating with the Dallas Mavericks guard and his relatives.
The menu centered on a traditional turkey, a responsibility confirmed earlier in the week by Thompson’s father, former NBA player Mychal Thompson. Speaking on the “Mason & Ireland” show on ESPN Los Angeles, the elder Thompson revealed that Megan would be in charge of the main course for the family gathering.
“All Black women are good cooks,” Mychal Thompson said during the radio appearance when asked about the rapper’s culinary skills. “Have you ever gone to a Black person’s house and not had good food?”
The Thanksgiving dinner marks a continued public deepening of the relationship between the musician and the basketball veteran. The couple, who went public with their romance in July 2025, have frequently shared moments from their personal lives on social media, including golf outings and fishing trips.
Thompson has previously praised Megan’s cooking. In an August social media post, the four-time NBA champion called a meal of catfish and spaghetti prepared by the rapper “the best thing I’ve ever tasted.”
Megan, 30, has successfully balanced her music career with her personal life throughout the year. She was recently seen courtside supporting Thompson, 35, during the Mavericks’ season opener.
The couple’s holiday celebration appeared to be a success, with the Instagram video displaying a fully set table and the pair enjoying the meal together.
