Onyeka Ehie Details How She Got Scammed Out Of $500k By Man Claiming To Be A Danish Prince

A Nigerian woman named Onyeka Ehie is crying out after her ex-husband who claimed to be a Danish Prince scammed her out of over $500k.

Grab your popcorn, because Onyeka Ehie just revealed a romance scam straight out of a Netflix royal drama, except the prince part? Totally fake. According to her, she got scammed out of over $500k by a man who claimed to be a Danish prince. Yes, really.

She’s calling this saga “The Danish Deception” on TikTok — 27 parts of heartbreak, red flags, and bank statements gone wrong. She says they met in 2022 and the rest is what we are witnessing now.

“I made the grave mistake of marrying a professional, international criminal con artist,” Onyeka, 31, claimed in a Friday, November 21, TikTok video. “Lesson No. 1: Don’t be too trusting. Trust should be earned and not given out like free samples. It’s OK to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but what you cannot do is give someone blind access to your resources, your life or your heart without them showing signs of consistency.”

This reminds me of the saying all that glitters is not gold.

Nearly two months later, Onyeka was ready to share her side of the story in a now-viral TikTok series called “The Danish Deception,” a nod to Martin’s native country.

“We’re minding our business, sipping mojitos, when I look up and see this very attractive man,” she said in the first video of meeting Martin during a 2022 vacation to Croatia. “The first thing I thought was, ‘This man looks like he’s walking straight out of a Calvin Klein ad.’ [He’s] 6’3”, blond hair, blue eyes, chiseled skin, so tan, muscles everywhere. I was definitely taken aback.”

Onyeka further claimed in subsequent videos that she paid for most expenses on their joint trips — and also believes that he owes money to her relatives.

“I’m just silent for five seconds,” she said in her 22nd video, breaking down in tears after claiming that her sister believes she is owed money. “It was the most heartbreaking moment in my entire life. My little sister is my world, and to know he took advantage of her, was just so heartbreaking. At that moment, I, 100 percent, fell out of love with him.”

This is the price to pay when you become obsessed with a certain caliber of men. A regular guy won’t even go this extreme.

Martin, who does not have any social media accounts, has not publicly addressed any of Onyeka’s accusations.

Onyeka’s story is a warning wrapped in glamor: if someone seems too good to be true, maybe Google first. Because not every “royal” is real. And not every fairytale ends with a prince, sometimes, it ends with an empty bank account and a broken heart.
