Patrick Beverley’s lawyer isn’t kidding around with allegations of former NBA player being violent.
Patrick Beverley might be the NBA’s king of chaos between the lines, but off the court, his attorney Letitia Quinones-Hollins just proved she’s the real defensive player of the year.
After his sister accused him of being violent, Letitia didn’t waste time denying the claim
Letitia Quinones-Hollins tells TMZ Sports the details laid out from Beverley’s 15-year-old sister to cops in the probable cause affidavit were “given at a time when emotions were high” and don’t tell the truth or the complete story.
“Patrick is not a violent man and was not violent that night,” Quinones-Hollins said Tuesday. “In fact, he was very respectful with the authorities that night and encouraged others to do the same.”
The attorney went on to describe Beverley as a “provider” and “protector” for his family — including his sister, who told cops he choked her and punched her after she left home without permission to meet up with her boyfriend in the early hours of Nov. 14.
Letitia is really doing her job as an attorney for the former NBA player.
“He has always looked out for their wellbeing and will continue to do so,” Quinones-Hollins continued.
“I have every expectation that when all the facts are in, Patrick will be cleared of these charges.”
For now, Letitia made it loud and legal: the allegations are going nowhere. If accusations were jump shots, she just blocked them into the stands and stared down the accuser, who happens to be his little sister, so we just have to see how it all plays out.
