Stefon Diggs Suing Christopher Blake Griffith After Sexual Assault Accusation

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs has filed a defamation lawsuit against social media personality Christopher Blake Griffith after Griffith allegedly accused the four-time Pro Bowl player of drugging and sexually assaulting him.

The lawsuit, filed on October 1 and made public this week, contends that Griffith’s claims are entirely “fictional” and were designed to harm Diggs’ personal and professional reputation, particularly with his team and endorsement partners.

Viral Allegations Trigger Legal Action

The core of the legal action stems from a series of explosive social media posts made by Griffith in the summer of 2025. In those posts, Griffith detailed an alleged incident at Diggs’ Maryland home in May 2023, claiming the Patriots star had “drugged and sexually assaulted” him. Griffith further alleged that Diggs later plotted to have him killed to conceal the purported abuse and “gay/bisexual secrets.”

According to the legal complaint, Griffith shared the shocking claims widely, explicitly tagging the New England Patriots, the NFL, and one of Diggs’ brand partners, causing significant damage to the receiver’s career and reputation.

Diggs, who signed as a free agent to the Patriots in March 2025, insists through his legal filing that the night in question ended quietly, with his assistant asking Griffith to leave the home without incident.  Diggs’ brother actually assaulted Griffith over the accusations.

Diggs Aims to Defend Reputation

The lawsuit represents a powerful legal effort by Diggs to unequivocally refute the serious accusations. His attorneys argue that the claims were manufactured to go viral and have caused immense personal and professional harm.

The legal entanglement comes at a challenging time for the veteran wideout, who has been a central figure in the Patriots’ offense this season. While the legal process is just beginning, the lawsuit ensures Diggs and the Patriots will face continuous scrutiny as they navigate the remainder of their season.

Griffin’s lawyers say they plan to fight the case.
“Mr. Griffith is looking forward to showing the world in Court that regardless of the fairy tale fabricated by Mr. Diggs’ high-priced New York Lawyers, he is the victim of Mr. Diggs’ unwanted sexual advances and his brother’s violent attacks.”

Neither the Patriots organization nor the NFL has released a detailed statement regarding the civil lawsuit, which places the high-profile receiver at the center of a complex and highly serious legal battle.
